Am I missing something or is that $1600ish bare? And $2250 built? JMM want something over $2000 bare I thought?
Nah not missing anything - just saying VL comparison is high volume thus cheaper - the Ford OHC & Hemi 265 are low volume so its a better comparison

CHI Hemi 6cyl Head $2,250 Street Version complete
CHI Hemi 6cyl Head $2,400 Race Verison complete

The JMM head doesn't have Ferrea valves and Isky springs and retainers.
The CHI hemi head is also new design alloy replacement head. The JMM head is a common cheaply availble head with cnc porting.
You comparrison with the CHI head is apples and oranges.

Anyway, this thread is getting just as f**k in a*** as the one on boostedfalcon.

i understand what youse are says i really do im just asking because the mod here had done a head for a mates au just to tidy up the casting marks and to be honest it was more ugly when we got it back there was crap everywhere mind you they had hardly touched the casting marks, so i hit it with a sandpaper wheel and do it myself and just left it at that it's been good every sence, anyways i dnt like the mod here they charged me $600 for a set of race valves for the datto, which i had gotten the part number off the net and i could have gotten them for $400 off the net but didnt have a cc to do it. they have a race car they built thats supposed to be one of the quickest unblown vr commies in town but ive never seen it go down the strip nor seen a slip to tell me anything ive seen one lads vr on the dyno push 210kw but it was chipped, tuned, and tricked out wasnt bad for a s**t vr though it did sound good with just 2 hotdogs in the system.

does anyone actually know what the price tag is for a machine that will digitize the head and machine it? the one ive herd about is worth upwards of 250,000 imported from america?

I have a Centroid A560 cnc porting machine. You are very close on its price.
We are currently developing ports for NA and turbo/blown applications that are proven and with correct
air speeds for the intended use, not just big numbers with fat lazy ports that work good on the bench
but not on the track.
The flow numbers will be real, not inflated and the prices will be a lot less than what is being advertised at the moment.
You can check our website at WWW.enginedynamics.com.au
We will be releasing a line of these heads very soon.
Rod.

Yes Mickyyyy,
we have two cnc ports available.
One is for a NA or low boost [10-15 lbs] this has std size valves, an excellent velocity profile and flows at the high end of cfm/sq in of valve throat area.
The other is a bigger valve and larger port with higher flow and will be killer in a higher boost application.
The prices are,
New head casting, $1700 bare and $2175 complete with Crow spring and retainers.
Your head, Inc. reco price $1250 using std springs and retainers and $1480 with Crow springs and retainers.
As with any cylinder head, there are heaps of options and the sky is the limit.
We will be doing a partial cnc chamber because these chambers have horrible pressure recovery and machining the whole chamber to look good will cost power the same as some other cylinder heads.
If anyone needs more info, give me a call on 0354433883.
Rod.
