hi guys,
i know this can be done, with a bit of difficulty but wasnt sure how fidly or involved it was and wheather any mods were need to get it in.
Anyone out there who's had it done or individuals with some timely advice.

As I understand it, if you use the EA loom and intake manifold/distributer, it should bolt straight in.

I have an ED motor in my EA, and it was dead easy because everything just hooked up.. if you use the EF block/head/sump and just bolt all the EA stuff in, you should be in the same boat.. according to my manual, there isn't much difference in the boxes either.

Hi

As PaulMac is suggesting read my thread. This covers using an EL engine in a non smartlock EBII.

As you are wanting to use an EF engine, you would need to use a dizzy instead of the coil pack.

An EA however uses a separate auto computer (TCM) and would pose additional challenges.
