ok here it is had the car checked over by 4 different mechanics all come down to the same thing "they have no idea"
first of all when the car is cold it's beautifull to drive smooth all the power in the world but once it gets hot it plays up losses power is very sluggish on take off and backfires alot, there is no cat left in the car so it's not clogged, all fuel hoses have been replaced, fuel filter and pump has been replaced injectors replaced, air filter replaced, vaccume hoses replaced, tb cleaned, new coil pack new plugs and leads, new dizzy cap and rotor button, i have exausted all options, to diagnose the issue, has been in diagnostic mode several times today alone not only when it was cold but when it was hot aswell, and still i cannot find the problem. when takeing off hot it will hesitate backfire then nearly stall you get a huge smell of fuel you back offf the throttle meanwhile the car hasnt moved drop it into neuteral plant the foot it backfires clears up and drop it back into drive and it takes off.
i cannot explain it anymore clearly then i just have.
any help guys?

Try a replacement ecu aswell, if you can find someone to lend you one for a hour you'd know if it's that

Have you replaced the fuel pressure regulator?

It may be over fuelling?

Also what about the air temp sensor, or the water temp sensor? Both of these can fail and give faulty info to the ECU.

Cheers

cam has never been out or replaced as far as i know, the water and air temp sensors were replaced not long ago, and the o2 sensor has been replced aswell when i had the enhaust done, fuel pressure reg was replaced about a month ago when the issue first started to happen, and the ecu has been tested several times and swapped out once and still the probelm returned, i just cannot figure this one out even the ford dealership dont know.

Have you replaced the PCV valve?
Also if youve exhausted you're options and are keen to try anything, try cleaning and or replacing you're grounds.
If you havnt done a compression test both hot and cold I'd be questioning the mechanic.

tested compression it is even across all cylinders within service specs, all electrical grounds have been cleaned checked replaced what needed to be replaced, checked for codes nothing comes up even reset the ecu just to check if there is any noticeable difference and there wasnt, pcv works fine even changed it out, i just dunno i did notice that if you lightly blip the throttle it revs but if you really stab it it just backfires quiet hard and tries to stall.
