Are the thermostat housing from EF/EL etc interchangeable with EA\EB\ED thermostat housing.

I assume they would because of all the people that have done the serpentine conversion and the "belt" guard sites on the powersteering pump and bolts to the housing.

I am slowly getting parts to convert to the serpentine belt setup up. want to know if i need to add this to my list

Yes, they will fit fine, and yes you will need it for the Serp conversion.
