hi i have a ef 6 cylinder manual im currently making a turbo setup for its a super budge build i will be running 2 rb20 nissan skyline turbos on home made merge collected steam pipe manifolds it has a 2.5'' exhaust i will be running a decent size intercooler and the air filters behind the bumper where its cold what i need to know is how many psi of boost the stock fuel system can take with only a rising rate fuel regulator no tuning with stock injectors will it take 5 psi? if it goes ok i will then be getting a bigger fuel pump then adding a couple of 550cc injectors in the intercooler piping running off preasure switches 1 at say 5 psi and 1 at 7psi and running around 8 psi boost. and info on what the stock injectors can handle would be great

mate if your going to do it cheap, dont do it at all..
1) the t5 wont take much of the uneven boost
2) "home made merge collected steam pipe manifolds" ummm yehh..
3) motor will s**t it self in a few weeks..

as to answer your questions
on a good setup and a standard ecu you motor can handle about 8-9psi safely
with your set up, standard injectors, standard fuel pump, and no tune i would run it at 5psi, and honestly, at 5psi you wont feel s**t with that set up..

engine wise? if its tuned right it can handle 10psi..

but std fuel system/ecu without a rising rate reg it will lean out bad at around 4psi.
with a 10:1 rising rate reg it will work.
and being an ef (no ignitin timing adjustment) you may have detonation issues..
and i dont think cheap and boost should be used in the same sentance..lol

hows the old saying go?
it can be fast and cheap, but it wont be reliable
it can be reliable and cheap, but it wont be fast
or you can be fast and reliable, but it wont be cheap

I'm not up on turbo tech but I do know that reliability comes at a cost, where as cheap mods usually end up costing twice as much if not more because of cutting corners. What I'm saying is spend some coin and do it the first time cause heart brake is expensive, some times you just cant be cheep.

i only want to run 5 psi i dont expect to have huge power just a little bit more i have all the stuff laying round anyway and steam pipe manifolds are easy enough to make.

A 12:1 FMU and AU XR8 24lb injectors can do 9psi and 350rwhp on a standard ecu

Yeh with a fukin good turbo/pipeing/cooler!
Would want at least a J3 chip n tune though with whatever you go with.
I seriously think you need to do a bit of searching and research first.

if you do it right? as in j3 chip+tune or aftermarket ecu, high flow fuelpump 36lb-42lb injectors you can push 10 psi into a stock engine and get 250rwkw and probably around 550-600nm rw torque.
if you change cam and a little work you could possably reach the 300rwkw??

there are a couple of guys that have made over 400rwkw.. but the more you do the more you get!!
i think if you just want to do it on the cheap cheap as in std ecu,12 or 10:1 reg it will go ok but it may not give the power required?? i would say as a guess it would only make between 160-180rwkw and there is always the risk of loosing reliability..

how reliable would the car be on that kinda bosst on a stock motor?

and is that off a snort turbo kit? or another brand?
