I hate to say it, but I think the VT will win.... VS series two has the same engine/ECU combo (APPARENTLY) that the VT has and I've been in a few of the series 2's and a couple of VT's that were stock, they feel like they pull a bit harder than a 4 liter I6 that's stock to me. But maybe they make the power in different ranges. I do believe that the ecotec has more pull down low, though. Might eat him further up?

VS Series 2 goes quite well due to the weight. The VT series one(series 2 not so much) is a absolute tank. Should be even(give or take) up till 80ks and you will take him from there.

Obviously providing both cars are still fairly healthy with compression e.t.c.

I think this EF vs VT is like the rest of these Model Make vs Model Make, Imo will come down to raceday or event.

I would say the VT would cream the EF. But in saying that are these autos or manuals, are they high spec models or both GLi Pov Pac varients. Also the launches from each other would determine the outcome. As most V6 Commodores eat Falcons off the line.

not that I like comparing penis size in threads like this, but i'd say the VT would just edge the EF out.

As a side note, didnt the VT bulk up a bit between models? i got a feeling the extra weight really neuters it.

If the EF is in good nic(trans, engine ect) then it should beat the VT after 60km/hr. If it was a well cared for stock VS commodore with a good ecotec V6 motor-->you would lose..

dunno if this will help answer your question or not, but

when i was at TAFE and had my EL, i dragged another student who was gloating about how fast his VT with an exhaust is (on a private road under controlled circumstances of course)

as expected, we got off the line at the same time...his car pulled away from me until around 50-60 then i started reeling him in and by 80-90 his bonnet was at my B-Pillar, by around 120 i was easily infront.

the long first gear will put you behind to begin with, but one your in 2/3 you should start to hold your own.

But at the end of the day, depends on driver....condition of engine and tranny....environmental factors....tyres...other modifications....and whether his car is red

always feels different being a passenger, but my mates vt feels so much quicker than my ef, both only have epgraded exhausts, but was following him on the hwy, and went to over tkae him, typical holden drive lol he tried to hold his own but i was able to pull away from him, but thats starting from 110.

but off the line falcons arent the best things in the world to get moving.
