Hey people's,

Im still in canberra,at my girlfriends house.

While at the summernats, I was walking through the trade stands and well.......I bought a Line lock kit!!!!

So that will be fitted when I get back to sydney.
I wont be racing this wednesday as I still have to service my car and do a few things and also have 2 but 2tyres for the rear, for the burnout comp! So it will be next wednesday for sure!
I hope to run quicker than a 16.088! That was my best time last week.
Anyways ill keep everyone updated.

Tell us about the line-lock kit!! :D

I'm well aware of the line clamps.. is that what you bought?? Or have you got something fancy which can be switch on/off from the cabin?

Hey 16.0 isnt bad for a basicly stock el fairmont!

Anyway the line lock kit is basicly a heavy duty solinoid which you plumb into your brake lines, and with the flick of a switch from inside the cabin it will either complety shut off or open up the line that its connected to.
They are meant to be fitted to the front brakes and the idea is that when your in the water and about to do your burnout prior to racing you push the brake pedal down hard then push and hold the button for the line lock and then release your foot off the brake as the line lock will continue to hold the front brakes untill u release the button! But if someone ( me ) was to put it on the back brake lines and replace the push button switch with a toggle on/off switch.... I can turn off the back brakes off when ever I want.
