what would cause the cruise control to stop working when the headlights are turned on, the light in the dash comes on it just wont engauge. but it works fine when the headlights are off.

Start the car and press the brake switch, do the parkers and dash lights come on?
(you'll need it to be in the dark or someone else to help to look at the parkers.) If they do, your brake globes are shagged.

ok, thats a start, the previous owner fitted LED globes so i'm thinking it may be them.. i'll change them a see what happens. cheers.
