yes!!! its f**k nice lol just put a shift kit in dads EF box because it was getting some slight slip from 1-2..., but you can get dual and full adjustable to take down the harshness... i made the kit for dads tho its single stage full harsh or off.

try a 22 ohm resister instead of the 18ohm and you will find its just firm not harsh, he will never turn it off with that set up

well a lot of 4 speeds that have done the ks actually s**t themselves AFTER you change the fluid. The carbon rich older fluid helps friction on the plates. so when the new fluid goes in they just slip and slip and slip and slip etc etc.

good trick would be to half drain the fluid and top it up if your auto has done over say 200,000. This is a compromise between maintaining friction and also some sembelance of oil viscosity and quality.

should help it last longer.

I went shift kitted Auto, stock ratio's, and stck stally and sliced .5 of my quater time. Then i went 3.9 and high stall and cut another .7 off my time. The time in the drag list on the home page was done with 3.9 3000stall and shift kitted BTR. So dont tell me how bad they are, or is mine a freak or something. I also cut 1.8 60ft times, so the auto certainly does the trick

hmm something to think about as i was about to change the fluid in dads EF box... its got 260,000km on it. it ONLY slips when the auto gets warm... (the fluid in it is black and thin) i rekon just nice fresh oil would fix it, wouldnt even need a shift kit but it was the easy fix. and its got a factory cooler and through the radiator so i was thinkin a nice big seperate cooler and new oil + shift kit should keep it going for ages...

sounds like it could be beyond saving. Maybe just eek it out, and give it a quiet funeral when it does the inevitable toes up.

black is baaaad.
