hi guys. so im getting my exhaust re-done and have a couple of options to choose from but dont know what to do. you experienced guys may know what i should do.

so i have a 2.5inch lukey at the moment with one 12inch muffler and a rear resonator.

im putting new extractors, 200cpsi cat and dump pipes.

SHOULD I
1. remove rear resonator and put straight pipe from it to tips?
2. remove 12inch muffler and put 9 inch straight through muffler?
3. remover rear resonator and swap 12inch muffler with 9 inch?

i would like a pretty loud but not to crazy with more of a growl instead of drone but still crackling. What would you suggest?

swap the 200cpi cat for a 100cpi, should yield a little more crackling sound, and the way i see it in
NSW a modification to a cat or replacing it with a non identical item is breaking the law. so might as well go out and get the freer flowing one.

Replace your current muffler with a hooker aerochamber and leave the resonator. I would say this would be a fair bit louder than currently, plus the aerochamber has really good flow stats.

I currently have a 12" glasspack and side in/centre out aerochamber...it sounds good but I'm fitting another muffler in the tail pipe as currently it gets annoying when towing.

Option 3 for fcking certain. I'd love to hear that muffler in action.
After hearing my car with 9" that plus a 12"... your ute will sound awesome.

I just saw option 3 involved swapping mufflers anyway? (Hooker Aerochamber is $135...not really expensive).

What mufflers are you talking about replacing them with? The size alone isn't indicative of how loud it will be. If you mean glasspack (i.e. cherry bomb) style mufflers it will sound like s**t with these alone and no resonator. Doesn't actually sound that much 'louder', just dronier and not crisp.

The first muffler below is a 12" cherry bomb, the second one is an aerochamber (probably around 12" also or maybe bigger?).
