Unsure. This is what i bought and installed
It fits together with your ECU. A bit of cutting and soldering does the job.
These guys do a really good job, fast postage and great products.

Basically its turned on all the time, but for casual driving its at a quarter, but when i want to ill turn it up to half or all the way for quick shifts.
Ill get chirping when its anything above a quarter. I never used to get chirping.
And now when it changes gear and chirps, it tends to step out when im turning a corner... Man its fun driving my car! :P
When its wet i have to turn it off though, might get a little dangerous with all that wheelspin

you should get a J3 chip pre programed for $190 from TI performance just tell Jason your mods and your good to go , ive been told by many tuners that a tune in the post will only be like 5% of but who cares because

you could get a cam from wade a re grind with the money you saved :)

Maybe eventually, but at the moment im happy with the amount of mods ive planned on my car.
Im not really interested in getting a new cam, or a regrind.
My dyno tune will probs cost around $350-400. So is is worth getting the J3 Custom chip instead of the dyno?

you will need the j3 chip or a xcal unit to get the dyno tune done, without these there is nothing that can be tuned..

id just get the pre programed custom J3 for $190 and be done

no no for the mods your doing a dyno tune wouldn't be required ive been told by a lot of dyno tuners its just not worth it Jason from Ti can get it with in like 5% of max power for basic mods like extractors ,intake ,cam etc

But it said it would be best to have the dyno sheets provided to them to custom tune the chip. So it looks like im gunna have to run a dyno anyway.
But then again, it said it was 'optional'. Probs get better gains with the dyno sheet.

your partially right, but you need to buy a xcal flash tuner to re flash the factory ecu,
so esentually your up for around $700 for the xcal unit and anywhere from $400-700 for a dyno tune..
imo unless your going to do big mods to the engine a j3 would be the cheaper option and still does the same job as a re flashed ecu...
