hey crew
as we all no the motor in the black falcon has just about had it
and due to all the windows in the wagon getting smashed i am thinking of stripping it

the wagon has a 3.9 carby motor in it and the black beast has a 3.9 injected
it was originaly carby but was converted before i bought it
just wondering if i take out the motor in the black falcon and put in the 1 from the wagon and convert the carby over to injected is it much work
how would i go about doing it all?
i have everything here just not sure exactly as to what i would do
i got a fair idea but just want to make sure everything goes perfect

any help would be greatly appreciated

cheers

mate all you need is to swap the motors over.

use the manifolds that the injected vehicle already has and swap all the sensors over if they are not already the same..

the motors are the same its just the bolts ons that are different.

By carby you mean centre point injection, and you also need the ecu.

Theres a tech doc somewhere about CFI to MPFI conversions.

petty shouldnt be anymore then $100 aye

an tools well i got pretty much next to none now as they all got knocked off from scum in campbelltown along with everything else i had:(

So we'd need tools, crane, petrol, most importantly beer .

Manual conversions a piece of piss the hardest parts the pedal box and the wiring but you already have the pedal done so it makes it easier.
I never bothered with the resister mod and i am yet to have a problem 2-3years later, I think in general the wiring shouldn't be hard on yours if its all factory as i think someone played with mine and mess it up a bit i had to re-wire the whole thing.

Im pretty much booked solid for the next few weekends though?

mate it sounds like a plan

im guessing u can supply the crane and tools and petrol and ill sort the $$ for the petrol and the beer and then we can get stuck into it
but yea whenever u got time im easy
anything im gonna need to get for the manual like bearing or anything maybe new clutch oh yea
i also gotta put in a new handbrake cable hahaha as i forgot to do it up last time i put a new auto in and it got all frayed up an wrecked it so just take it out of the wagon:)

u havent got spring compresoors by any chance do u as i might have to change springs in it to pass a pink slip as i got near new superlows here but the 1's in it are cut hahaha

but anyways
just let us no when an we can go from there

oh an what beer u drink or u easy:P

cheers
