Good advice thus far.

In my opinion, only start modding if you can afford the money yourself, and not leeching of parents.

But yeah, what others have said with minor mods...exhaust, air intake, snorkel and if you want, K&N filter...better breathing and response (so i have noticed.

I reckon Learners should only be allowed to learn in a stock car, to learn the basics, hazard perception and also thinking ahead...not many people think ahead these days.

phong =P~

Funny thing that in NSW, on ya learners you can drive like turbos and v8's and high preformance cars (with licensed driver of course) but once you get ya p plates, little stock 4cyls and 6cyls... (but seems like the rules are all over the place as a p plater can drive a v8 as long it is under 150 horsepower or something along them lines)

LOL that stupid... learners can learn in any car say (gt-p) a quick mofo of a car... so they r used to the power and now that they have felt the power in one they will always be trying to chase it... which defeats the purpose of young drivers driving safe... government needs to sort some s**t out.... not that im always a grandpa when it comes to driving. but i dont always want to sting it round every corner and down the freeway... im always thinkin bout cops bein round and s**t. fukn d's...
but yeh
they really need figure it out a lil more.

and yeah i work real hard during my school holidays,,every day of the week..nd make plenty of cash.............and mod laws in SA are the best, u will pay a little bit more but only if u do something like turbo, or adding a supercharger then the insurance company will rape you into submission!

and another thing i had a close look at my air intake and in the mouth there was a piece of hose jammed in there length ways---so it was blocking the mouth....so i took it off to pull it out ..only to find that there were 2 holes next to each other a little bit bigger than golf balls. does anyone know wat the deal is with that or is that just f**k' weird! cheers fellas!

3.45 LSD helps a lot too...

SA modding laws are very relaxed. You can drive anything on your L's or P's. And get you P's at 16 and a half.

And like everyone's saying johnnyd... don't be stupid about it. It's fun to have a fast car but just know that there is a time and a place for everything. I've seen too many temporary Australians on the road lately wearing the dreaded P plate.

Don't be an idiot.
