I am planning on making a shaker type induction for my el wagon using a toyota corrola bonnet scoop on top of and el xr6 motor and after some quick messurements and a quick sketch on ms paint I know have a rough plan for the intake. So on monday I will be pricing up materials to see which whay will give the best bang for the buck. Not shown in my little sketch are 4 little legs that I plan to mount using the manifold bolts. the whole box will be spaced roughly 25mm above the tappet cover and will have a 3 inch pipe in it for a pod filter and the mixer for the gas system with a possible shield above the filter to limit and water soak. At them moment I am thinking all alloy but might end up with a mix of alloy and fibre glass.

Not the corners will end up being slightly different to allow access to the nuts that are used to hold the scoop on.

So any thought or ideas will be helpfully to try make this whole thing work to its best

Well after a few more accurate messurements and trying to take on comments made by people on here and other forums I now believe I have the final design. It will be similar to what I had shown but will use a panel filter instead of a pod due to lack of room and sizes of pods

I was wondering how you were going to put I pod in.
One of those mushroom filters might fit. But they are pretty gay.
How much does the engine actually move when you rev it up. Would wanna take care making sure there is a big enough hole in the bonnet.

Well I have to wait until the end of the week to go see some metal shops and go to other places to price fibre glass to work out which way will look the best, work the best and not cost a fortune. I am leaning towards metal and if that is the case I might try make a set of templates incase someone else wants one

Very worthwhile mod if you can get it right. yep make sure you cut a big enough hole for engine rocking. Remember reverse makes the engine torque the opposite way.
