Hey guys,
Quick question regarding loctight.

Where should I be using this on a engine rebuild? Bearing caps bolts? Timing cover bolts? Sump Bolts? etc...

Cheers all, manual doesn't mention using it on these things but yeh, someone out there does this alot so may have more tips :)

The only place I used Loctite blue was on the upper timing chain guide. Everything else I left and haven't had any issues. The only other places I have put Loctite on was on the brake caliper retaining bolts...

Yeah as phong said... I only use loktite on the caliper bolts... All suspension stuff is anti shake nuts so they don't need it... As long as everything is torqued to required spec you should have no dramas...

Cheers,
Tim

I dont even use it for the Caliper bolts and never had a problem its a personal preferance so dont worry too much if you dont use it.

Flywheel bolts and tailshaft bolts are the only spots I've got loctite.
