Hey guys,

The front passenger door on zee luxomobile isn't closing properly.
On the other doors you get the very familiar click-thunk sound.
On this door, its just the thunk and quite often it just bounces back at you and can take 2 or 3 goes to get it to shut and stay.

I'll be pulling the door trim etc off tomorrow to take a squiz, but does anyone have any idea on where to start looking, or any known issues in this area?

Cheers,
Lurch

check the striker post on the door jam--can come loose & move in a fraction not alowing door catch to fully close over to the 2nd click

Yup!
I pulled the latch mechanism out this arvo and pulled the back off it.
I'm assuming the primary upper latch is meant to have some kind of downward pressure on it (a tension spring or something). Well - it didn't.
I dodgy'd up a spring in there for now; and its better (now closes 3 out 4 times).
Will source a new lock mechanism next week.
