I replaced my motor a couple of months back and two of the injectors in it are making a hell of a noise. Ticking like crazy. I know installing bigger injectors to a reasonably standard motor will do SFA.

So I have questions...

1. What do standard injectors flow? 19lb I think I've read.
2. I've found this cheap set of 22lb injectors saying they'd suite Falcons. They look alright? ... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 0182748050
3. Are injectors easy enough to replace? It looks like a fairly easy job.

Any help would be great thank guys.

Reco injectors are good if theyre done properly with the right equipment, most are bodgy so-called 'specialists'.

Here is a write up on how much is involved in reco'ing injectors properly

http://www.cruzinperformance.com/injsteps.html

I bought a set of "reco" injectors off eBay and was disappointed so i spent $300 a brand new set from this mob (second one down)

Replacing them is easy:

First pop the boot open and remove the cap and unplug the fuel pump connector. Run the car till it stalls and crank for a few seconds to release fuel pressure.

Theres is four bolts to remove to loosen the fuel rail. Remove the clips that hold the injector onto the rail and the clip for the wiring plug.

Try to pull out all the injectors from the head first then twist/turn each injector from the fuel rail.

Clean out any crap where the injector was. When refitting them put some oil on the o-rings. Push each injector into the head then push the fuel rail onto all the injectors. Attach wiring plugs and clips and tighten the four bolts.

I removed a few little things (like throttle body bracket and brake booster hose, throttle cable, unplugged some wiring) just to make life easier.

Oh and dont forget to plug the fuel pump connector back together or you will be cranking the motor over all day wondering what the hell's wrong with it!!
