hey all

i resently have done an ef/el converson to my ea falcon 5speed manual ( m still using the box on the ef/el motor...

i m running complete ef running gear but using the el xr6 motor( converted it to ef coil pack)

ok the problem as stated, when im driving an i try go past 3500 rpm the rev limiter cuts in an i have nooo idea what it is, other things that arn't working are - speedo not working
- odometer also not working
not sure about anything else but thats all that i have noticed...


any help would be muchly appreciated

( build tread sorry only had 20 days an had to spend every second working on car to get it ready)

What ECU are you using and are you Manual or Auto?

Can you borrow another EF Manual ECU and try it. EF Auto is no good to you with Manual. Sounds like ECU could be playing up.

its not in limp home mode is it? Doesn't limp home mode lock the rpm out at x amount and the speed out at x amount...

Thanks for that. So sounds like its not the ECU. What about your speed sensor, could be faulty?

my speedo an odometer isn't working :/

im driving off guess rpm atm....
good fun sept when you see the cops...

Limp home is for Auto only I believe, locks you into 3rd. Don't think that applies to Manual.

Speed sensor is stuffed, probably stripped gear, replace the gear and see how she goes.

you checked all the fuses? LHM shouldn't cause no action on the cluster...
