G'Day fellas, My wife went out to start her I6 EF wagon this arvo , and when she did the belt slipped off. When I had a look, the bottom pulley had slipped forward causing the belt to come off. I pushed it back, but when I tried to tighten it , the whole thing moved and I couldnt tighten it. Anyway is it just a matter of re-tightening it or is the H/Balancer stuffed and needs replacing?
Cheers.

Thanks guys , I thought so. Was just "hoping" it wasnt. So i guess thy're about $100 - $150 for a new one. Are they hard to do? I know I'll need a puller.

remove the belt (in your case done), undo the bolt on the balance, pull off with the puller, and refit.

yeah you dont want anyone standing too close to it. and just short "bursts" of ignition to get the bolt cracked and it shoudl be right

Do it this way it works well. You will struggle to get most rattle guns in there.

You may also find it easier to remove the radiator.
