Hey just a question about underdrive pulleys for a BA XR6.
A. Easy to install? B. How much should I expect to pay? C. Are there any problems with all the accessories once installed? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

Hey mate!
Installed one in my BF, no problems with the accessories and def seems to give more power. I got my kit for around the $300 mark and it included 2 idler pulleys and a new belt because you may as well replace it all while your doing it. I got my mechanic to install and didnt take much longer than hour. You need a special pully device to take off the old harmonic balancer though. Check out my build thread (page 2) there i took lots of photos of it getting installed. Cheers Phil

Hey thanks heaps for that. I definitely will get a set. Would anyone have one of those pulley tools in their shop? Pitty I don't have sweet connections like yourself lol.
p.s you said go to page 2.. I ended up reading the entire build. Very nice car you should be proud of that!

No worries mate, thanks for your kind comments, most mechanics should have it, my mechanic is actually jax so while a tyre shop at heart they do servicing etc so wont have every tool under the sun but lucky for me we were able to borrow fords down the road. I would simply ask the mechanic you are going to use if they have the required tool to remove the BA harmonic balancer or not

No worries Dylan, give Justin at Tuff Car Parts a holler, tell him Phil recommended you and that you are members of the various ford forums and he should do the full kit for $280.
