Thats exactly right Stomper, I, as many of us here, have ridden in a taxi falcon. and as we all know they dont get life too easy and after riding in one with 890,000 kays on the clock i thought hey this is the type of reliability i am after :D. I have had short ownership of two commodores, and while they may have gone well, there were contributing factors behind choosing a falcon.
towing, comfort, parts availability, reliability (to a degree lol) put em on gas, and they are economical to drive. - cheaper to run my ef on gas then it is to run the cousins 4 cylinder camry on fuel.

Wheels mag tells me XR8 EB owns VN SS to every point on the speedo XR6 beats XR8 therefore XR6 beats VN SS simply really if your worried about are crappodores quicker you shouldnt be driving a falcon.

Ripping Clubbies and SS's in an XR6 is easy. Up to 100 kays anyway

VNss will get the money.

But a few mods on the XR6 you will get him.

My EL Ghia with tickford motor is just a beautiful car to drive, excellerating from lights or on freeway. Its a top car. I reckon quicker than VNss

A compliment? From the Soul man? Gee times are changing

Next thing you know we will both agree that EF's and EL's are equally as good as each other and don't look like Honda Integras

Quarter mile time for a vn ss auto is 15.9

quarter mile time for vn ss Group a is 15.2 that's a six speed transmission as tested by wheels magazine with correvit timers
quarter mile time of eb xr6 manual 15.2 , 0 to 100 7.1 seconds
the xr6 beat the a** out of both the 5 litre ford and holdens of the time if anybody disputes these times I will scan a copy of the wheels magazine for your viewing no vn ss ( stock) manual or auto ever pulled a flat 15. With regards to the ef xr6 auto I've heard they are heavier than eb ed falcons?? With the auto trans I'd assume about high 15 so whoever got the launch would win the quarter mile but the v8 would reel the six in the top end.

my ea beats most vn-vs's v8 even clubbies. but ya auto i6 vs auto v8 ss the ss will win unless the falcon has spent big $$ on the 4 spd

5 spd falcon vs auto v8 commy falcon wins 90% of the time
