just get some pintara 4.11 on an LSD centre. yes it will make a differentce off the line and everywhere else too, if you don't want to go 4.11's look for 3.7's or 3.9's either of these will wake the car up. LSD is highly suggested.

would the pintara/skyline diff bolt straight into an AUII, or would you remove the gears from the housings and swap them over?

I am going be very civil in this response. take the car with the matching gear set to a diff builder with about 6 or 700 dollars. if you need to ask the question, you need to pay someone to do it. Diff building is not a task to undertake without the correct tools and training

as already stated the 4.11's will do well.
i'ves seen a EF mont that has 4.11's in it and it goes pretty damn quick off the line.
if you have a manual. you'll find that putting even3.7's in it. 1st gear wont get alot of traction unless you have some pretty super tires and a good suspension set up
