Hey anyone here want to post up that we steal the JMM workshop ute.

That has a dev 5 cam in that we could measure up.

I get the idea that anything you can download is free but really custom cam profiles?

Yes i reckon thats stealing their intellectual property in case no one gets it.

Agreed. Unless someone has an uninstalled DEV5 cam floating about, you wont get the specs from JMM.

Worth a try though :)

It would be 'stealing' if you were measuring the profile to reproduce the cam, but measuring for comparison is definately not.

It doesnt matter if the profile is secret or not - they still own the intellectual property, and nobody has stolen anything until someone else starts making money from it.

it would only be stealing if jmm had a patent on the cam, is it stealing if they regrind a ford cam and market it as something else??

Any decent camshaft comes with all the data on a tag or a paper specification sheet I have bought many cams over the years from crane, engel, manley and some aussie ones from waggott, etc and they all had data tags  :D :D :D
