Im hoping to set up a dual battery system soon in my EL sedan but i was wondering whether anybody had any thoughts on where would be a good, sort of out of the way, place to put it. I will be having it running my sound system as well as a couple other little accessories so preferably towards to the back of the car. is there anyway i can put it under the back seat? any help much appreciated thank you.

go to the wreckers and look for a old cab that had the battery in the boot that way you will find the longer battery cable and you will be able to use that and buy a battery box or if you are lucky thre cab will still have one and simply fit it to the drivers side in the boot.

Acid battery under your seat laying down, terminals towards the front. What harm can come from that?

Seriously, get yourself an Optima yellow top, battery box and install it in the boot. There is NO WAY you will fit it under the seat. Boot is your only option.

The only car I know of that can fit a battery under the back seat is a BMW 7 series.
But that is where they were factory fitted.
It took me a while to find the battery in that car........
