Hey Guys,

Just a quick question. Who out there has an In-Dash DVD player, is it really worth it? I'm looking at getting one, however most people i know say it isn't.
I also have an EF, would there be any trouble getting it to fit in, and for the screen to open up fully?

I'll have lots more questions to come as I'm in the process of respraying my car lol, Cheers

Got a indash dvd! it a kenwood ktv747! I got this cause it opens up and sits out so it doesn't hit on the hump in the dashboard!

As for whether or not they worth it it all depends what you after! I have found that i get great use out of mine with music videos and fact it touch screen and dvd capable means i get more mp3's per disc!

I have one in my XR. It's hooked up to the roof mounted screen for my girls in the back.

That makes me wanna get one. They're so inconspicuous!

What did it set you back for the unit + install?

Unit is a kenwood ktv-747! When i got it a payed $1400 for it brand new! As for installation price i got it installed along with a 8 inch roof mount screen! Had it all installed at a cost of $340 so as for what cost what to fit i aint too sure

I'd recommend only trying to install it if ya know what ya doing! This unit also has a module that lives under my seat so that i can plug other devices into it as well!

As said previously reason i brought it is cause it about one of few that will go in without having to cut the dashboard up! It all opens and shut sneatly and doesn't hit! The screen has full adjustment so even if u have a flat dash u can adjust it outwards and the screen tilt as well!

I treid to find this online to show the features but it now not in production so finding the original specs is a little on the hard side!

As said it looks very plain when it shut which is good for its many reasons!

Cheers for the feedback!
