Just wondering what people think is the better headunit and what peopples oppinions are

i'd have to say the clarion for sure.

They're both the lowest model, as far as I can tell... So they're going to be pretty much the same (you won't hear any difference). Play with them and see which you prefer and the one you like the look of the most. I'd take the Pioneer, that Clarion looks pretty average.

Out of those 2 the Clarion is the better unit, but theyre both pretty basic.

yeah they are near the bottom of the range i dont really have the need for a expencive flash unit i just want something that sounds half desent and can plug in ur ipod in the front and maybe run a amp/sub in the future. ive heard good things about both but i dont know much about them..

Well they can both do all the things you require... Both have front AUX input and single set of RCA's for sub. Oh and both would sound exactly the same. So just pick the one you prefer.
