Hey Guys,

What size speakers are in the AU Doors? I've heard rumours that they aren't 6.5" round as I was hoping and that they're 5x7". What are my options here? :)

Cheers!

unfortunately, they are 5x7's, but i know that 6.5's will fit with a minimum of fuss, and no cutting of the inner door or trim

a mate had alpine type R splits in his AU with the mids mounted in the doors, only needed a bit of MDF to make life easier

Only AU I've had personal experience with, an AUI XR6 VCT, had 5x7's all round.
I believe this as the same as every other model mate.

Have seen 6.5" speakers mounted in the doors ... just make sure it clears the edge of the door grilles ... because they lip inside the door trim.

I run 6" speakers with plenty of room .. and i run the split next to the driver on an MDF board inside the AU door.
