Just a quick question what is involved in putting BA rims to EF cause they are different stud patterns and offsets arent they. Any way just curious cause i'm looking for a set of rims and i like the look of the XR6/8.

you will need hub adapters... -they are machined alloy that bolts onto each disc.. then you bolt the rim onto them.. i have them on my car to run my au offset 19's on my EF Fairmont.. or on ebay.. they aare now being made to suit the older offset style of the e-series falcons now... -in the "B-series" xr rims... if you wanted direct bolt ons...

The adapters are as easy as putting a wheel on. Personally I wouldn't go for adapters, I've had them and happy to be rid of them. Stay away from spacers altogether, hub adapters are ok but correct offset wheels are the best way to go.

You can get most BA rims in E-Series offset these days anyway.

$160 a pair from Wheelworx... and you only really need them on the front. The rear wheels only need an extra 8mm to fit. So you can just buy washer style spacers from autobarn for $18 a pair for the rears. But you will need at least 35mm bolt on hub adaptors for the fronts.

You should really just grab wheels that are in the E-series offset as spacers always incur problems... not major problems, just weird vibrations etc, not to mention they're completely illegal. There are pleanty of wheels to suite E-series floating around and they will end up being cheaper as you dont need to spend the extra $200 just to make them fit. Not to mention AU-BF wheels sit out too much as you need 35mm hub adaptors on the front to get them to clear everything.

Speaking of which...

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FORD-FALCON-BA-X ... dZViewItem

Same mob I just ordered 18" BA Typhoon wheels from in Pre-AU offset. They do 18" BA XR8 wheels, 18" BA GTP wheels, 18" BA Typhoon wheels, 19" BF Typhoon wheels and a couple of others all in Pre-AU offset for a freakin awesome price. I only payed $1490 for my wheel and tyre package with four 235/40R18's fitted and balanced all delivered to my door with a 12month warranty :D
