How are you thinking of doing the airbox lid? looking at the line up of my airbox to wher the scoop would be it looks like you could just cut a hole.. but with the one your (thinking of?) fabricating would it be further back? Without going off topic Im just thinking about how im going to do my intake and i was thinking something aloing the lines of an inverted pod inline with the airflow from the scoop rather than below. I dont know if there would be any gain from the ramming air... but is that the sort of thing you were going to fabricate?

Cheers

bennomate, im still waiting for someone in sa to lend me their car for an hour or so to suss things out.
i dont remember how much lower the airbox sits below the bonnet.
if i can use the original airbox lid i will (to save costs), and just supply a template for you to cut out and then just stick some foam around it to seal off to the scoop when the bonnet is shut.
if people are not confident enough to cut it out themselves i can do a changeover lid.

if i cant work with the original airbox lid i can remake one out of fibreglass that will work, and sell them seperately. i can also modify the ducting flange that bolts to the outlet of the airbox so you can fit a 3" or 3.5" pipe for your pod, and do a changeover on them too.
i currently have a 3.5" 45 degree mandrel bend going into my airbox for the pod

marxr8, the rear lip spoiler will be done in about 2-3 weeks, i will make a prototype first to see if people like it. i have 2 styles in mind for the lip spoiler.

my fibreglass order arrives tomorrow, finally...
i can then finish the 3rd style bonnet scoop, the stealth and the stealth plus?
will have some more pics up maybe wednesday night or thursday sometime.

Absolutely hanging to see what you come up with for a lip spoiler on the EF/ELs.

I've wanted one of these for ages but lack the time or skill to do it myself.

ok, the third scoop is now made
i call it the stealth, low profile, 40mm tall opening, only sits about 25mm above the bonnet
the opening shape is inspired by/close to a ford oval badge,
same size intake area as my medium scoop, approx 2 3/4" , but different shape/design
heres some pics

Hell yeah man, that looks nice!! I like the way it has more of a stock appearance with it not raising up above the bonnet as much.

Looking forward to seeing this bootlip spoiler and the fairmont scoop you mentioned earlier. Will the fairmont version be based on this scoop or a completely different looking scoop?

thanks boxcar,

kwikxr, the fairmont / falcon gli one will be based on the large, medium and also the stealth versions, so 3x types.
they only need to be shaved down on the edges to sit flush with the bonnet,
but will require a hole to be cut so the recessed section in the front can sit through the bonnet and direct air at the airbox. i will supply a template for the bonnet and a steel brace to go underneath to support around the cutout.
