I've seen a few people have painted their overflow bottles, how has this been done? is it painting the outside of it? or is it paint on the inside? any help would be appreciated (im also not sure which thread to ask this in)

piant on the outside.......
give it a good clean, sand with wet/dry 600, Plastic primer and the paint of your choice.....

yep.. just the out side painted... i used "wax and grease remover".. dried it in the sun then let rip with spray paints...

oh yeah sounds good, might get into that over the weekend.. need anything like heatproof paint because of engine bay temperatures? or just normal spray paint? i've got heat proof paint i've used on my Rocker Cover, would that do the job?

i havent had any trouble relating to heat when NOT using the special "heat proof paint"...

How do you know the water level, Say something goes wrng, eg warped head etc, water is being used, how can you see if its all painted over.

That was the one I was waiting for. Otherwise we would have view ports in Engines to check oil levels too, but still, so many people don't and the sensors can't always be relied on, especailly cause they often come on once its too late.

most of us need to take the cap off anyway. I'm just getting into engine bay detailing, looks like fun =D
