^ they were not HIDs then (just regular bulbs). Cheapest HIDs you can get start from about $250.

If they're HID they come with extra boxes that are required to run them. If they were just bulbs, definitely not HIDs.

A lot of ebay sellers call anything that's remotely whiter than an a** hole 'HID'.

Generally, very easy. Unplug/remove old bulb. install new bulb, plug ballast to bulb, plug bulb loom to the ballast. They come with the right fittings pre-installed.

The H4 hi-lo setups are more complicated, I had to run extra power to the battery, and find a hiding place for the ballast and the hi/lo controller.

So you will need a H4 6000K Hi/Lo sliding beam to suit falcons then when converting to HID?

For EF/EL's you want a H1 if you've got pov pack lights (GLi / Futura), H4's for high spec (Fairmont/Fairlane/LTD/GT).

You need h1 for the XR projectors... you sure a standard falcon doesn't use h4s?

I have a BA XR so H4 Hi/Lo for me according to the supplier. Additional power required for the sliding beam so an additional loom required with relay.

Buying mine from ebay tomorrow - Xenon HID H4 Hi/Lo complete with relay harness - delivered for $349.00.

There are some cheaper ones but this is complete for BA XR.

Yup. I put a H1 HID kit in my EL Futura.

And my BF GT-P (B-series XR lights) has a H4 kit in them.

Just installed the GT Zenon Hi/Lo 6000K (from ebay) into my BA - works great.
Easy to install - took about an hour as I had to remove the airbox and battery.
I will take some pics when I can get another camera - kodak camera suffered the black screen of death!
