Hi,
I have seen a few members cars (EF - EL GHIA'S) with the blue Fairmont Ghia dash cluster. Looks great, does anyone know where i can get 1 from and how much they are.
Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

they are custom made. if you want one, maybe a forum member could make you some for a price or you could try making them yourself.

How would you go about making them yourself?

Replace all the necessary white globes in the cluster to blue LEDs. They're T5 socket globes. A monkey could do it.

I made them, each lamp holder has one led in it, (i think they are brighter than the narva ones...which were like $20 and now around $60)

The police clusters for sale too. anyone make an offer!

No mate I know how to make blue lighting, I've done it in my ED.

I was asking how you could make a blue cluster like in the picture at the beginning of the thread. The one that the guy wants.

ha ok
there ust the T5 led replacement globes
i have not done it yet but i want to
not sure if you can use the dimmer or not i think with led's it is either full on or off

apparently the backing colour of the lct screens is just orange paper backing

its a bit of work so i hear but you can change it in the dash (trip meter) and the climate control (fairmont) to what ever colout paper you want there is a thread on doing this

making the LCD red but any colour is possibe on my list of things to do
http://www.fordmods.com/forums/RED-LCD-Panels-d25.html

i find this a little hard for me to do so i might get a climate control cluster off ebay and posibly stuff it up but also on my list of things to do
http://www.fordmods.com/forums/Neon-Blue-Dash-d1.html

I have done the dash mod easy not happy with the brightness though using t5 led's off eBay
also did the lcd panel easy to get to and change but you have to be careful to screw the lcd surround back together softly , I cracked my lcd panel, p****d me off completely to the point where I have changed to a Fairlane cluster and reverting back to the original colours

The trip meter/ clock are by far the easiest one to change the colour if you do the dash may as well go the whole hog and do everything.

now climate control Fairmont or better well this one is a doosie to get to lcd colour filter is a total pain in the ... I would recommend keeping an eagle eye on eBay for here of one already done as to get to the filter I believe it involves desoldering the lcd from the circuit board and resoldering it again with a new colour filter I didn’t do this as it was a little too much

An easy way would be to go red because then you could leave the orange filters in place

Blue led with orange filter gives off a grey illumination sounds
