im trying to remove the plastic dash near the windscreen but im not sure how it comes out and might break it. any1 know how its removed.

I think it 2 screws. One in each corner.

yep, 2 screws, one either side...be careful pullking it out, they get somewhat brittle over time...I put a crack in mine pulling it out once...

You need a might small screwdriver to get the screws. I use a small phillips head bit from a cordless drill and a 1/4" spanner

yeah as said above.. then it will pull back towards you.. if your car has climate control you will have to unplug the temp sensor on the bottom of it before you completely take it out

its not a phillips head, its a allen key. and you can just see it

Depends on the car i spose... I take it you have an EA as i know the EF's definatly use a philips head bit.

My old EA as well as my current EL have phillips heads...so not sure where the allen key fits in
When you undo the 2 bolts, lift the plastic evenly on both ends...they kind of pop out cause they are also held down by clips. The plastic just comes up a little leaving a narrow gap running along the dashboard...when you have that, slide it towards the rear. Should slide out. Disconnect any wirings before you remove it completely. phong =P~

all the dashes i've removed (quite a few) have all had allen key head screws..
