Im selling my 1993 ED XR6 Manual. I got it about 20,000km ago max and since then i have looked after it like it was my baby.
The owner before me didnt look after it as much as i did as there is damage to the left hand side of the car. It is bad but the whole car as a package is great.
Now i have had the car for almost 3 years now and i have looked after it very well, the only real thing to go wrong with it was when the water pump broke and when that happened i replaced everthing not just the water pump.
The car has fitted with it a Factory MOMO steering wheel with cruze control, it has been lowered at the rear and i have lowered suspension for the front. I have had a full exhaust system fitted to it including Extractors and a Hi-Flow cat. It has BA XR 17" rims on it with billet spacers/adaptors.
I have serviced it every 5-7,000km and about 10,000km ago i did a bit of a major service where i chabged the engine oil and filter, checked the gearbox oil and did a complete diff oil change which i might add is a 3.45:1 LSD.
It has power windows and mirrors.
It is a great reliable car that never misses a beat. Anyway will be pleased by it the major draw back is the body work been in less then pristen condition

Things i have had fixed or replaced since i have owned the car
1. Front brake pads- 15-20,000km ago
2. Tailshaft- 15-20,000km ago
3. Clutch fan- 15-20,000km ago
4. New discs all round- 15-20,000km ago
5. Rear brake pads- Only 1,000km ago
6. Im pretty sure it had all it rubbers replaced or all the ball joints about 15-20,000km ago
7. Radiator- 10,000km ago
8. New water pump- 10,000km ago
9. All new Hoses- 10,000km ago. 1 yr after replacing those i flushed the whole cooling system and topped it all up with the correct amount of coolant
10. Plugs and leads- 15-20,000km ago
11. Dizzy- 12,000km ago
12. 15,000km ago had the injectors off car cleaned

Things i have done for my purpose
1. I have lowered it at the rear and i also have the lowered front suspension but i have not put them in yet but they will come with the car or i can put them in if the buyer wants me to
2. A little while after i got the car (about 12,000km ago if that) I had Pacies 4499's and a Hi-Flow cat put into it.
3. 1,000km ago i had a brand bew Redback 2.5" single straight throw muffler put into it with a new tip.
4. It has real BA XR 17" mags, there is 5 of them all with pretty good rubber, they have the spacers on them which are billet spacers.
5. I have a K&N Pod Filter put onto it and it also comes with the stock intake system
6. It does have a good head unit in it and i have it all set up with a Amp in the boot waiting for a sub so they can come with the car for a little bit extra
7. It has the set of 4 BA XR Floor mats
8. It has a BA 5-speed manual gear knob and i also have a BA manual gear boot shroud hich i am in the process of fitting to the centre part aound the gear shifter

Cos it was a auto to start with i converted it to manual.

Yea it was orignally a auto but i have a ED XR6 wreck which i took everything out of it so it has pretty much become that car apart from the complience plates.

It has a orignal ED XR6 pedal box in it, a orginal ED XR6 gearbox, a orignal ED XR6 Computer in it.

I have HEAPS and HEAPS of extras that will com with it like a spare radiator about 12months old, and heaps of other stuff too.

If it is the right price i will supply EF/EL Twin thermo fans.

There is more but i cant remember it at this stage.

Ahh ok, that's a perfectly fair enough explination then, Good luck with sale, I cant buy it, but if you are gonna wreck it I might be interested in a few bits.

im curious...how did u spot it as an auto originally?

A few more things that i remembered is that i will have a new fuel cap filler on it painted red as the other one fell off.
I have also replaced the powersteering pump and hoses with second hand ones which are perfectly fine.

Amber- got your PM and replyed, Also im pretty sure it will pass rego fine as when i bought the car i had to get some things fixed so it would pass rego and that was 20,000km ago max. It might have trouble with the rear ride height but i will supply the buyer with the orignal XR spring if they would like and maybe it might be to loud but all you will have to do is get a plate made up so it will quiten it down for the check *sneaky*

Gab 1- I have another ED XR6 wrecking if you are interested in anything just let me know unless it is for the manual conversion stuff but yea other then that i do have another one so just let me know

Bomber- It has 286,000km on the clock but alot of things have been replaced so it is like new but not really lol you know what i mean. I do have a cluster with 147,000km if the buyer would like that im sure i can supply it with the car unless someone else wants to buy it from me.

Gogetta- I think how you could really tell is the gearbox oil dipstick to the left of the photo other then that i cant think of another way of telling.

the wireing in the middle of the engine bay there is a plug that is not used in the manuel but is used for the auto..(large round plug)..

and you would see a clutch cable coming out from the firewall

I spotted the dipstick for the auto fluid too. Manuals dont have that at all.

that's what I spotted, the lack of clutch cable, and the presence of the auto dipstick.
