This is a email i have just recieved from adam

Quote:
Hi guys

Attached is a shot of the inner skin of the EF bonnet almost complete. Will get a shot to you this week of the top skin almost complete. The inner skin is more time consuming as there is a lot more shape and stuffing around to it. The top of the bulge is fixed in place, just need to fill over the join line and make it neat so I can then spray it with some hi fill.

Ive also attached a shot of the AU boss bonnet fitted to a car which was a final fitment before progressing to moulding.

Still plan to have both completed for All Ford Day.

Cheers

Adam

If anybody has any question please post them here, and i shall ask adam when i talk to him.
Cheers

BEN

UPDATE!!!!

Have been talking to Adam, and things are going well. The bonnet is ready to set up and put into a mould. I must say it looks really good from the pics!! Posted below.

We really need some more deposits and intrest on these bonnets. So if you are interested, please get in contact with either myself or Adam, and we will help you out in any way we can.

Cheers

BEN

Not sure on freight at the moment. Depends on how much it will weigh at the finished product etc.... We will be hunting around for the best price though.

Do you really want a original grill? Because there is supposed to be a different version with a custom high series type grill, which is more what I want to see pictures of.

I shall ask for a few more pics from different angles.

The grill will be something along the lines of the FBT grill, but this has not gone into production as far as i know yet.

So there will not be the high series bonnet

I was tempted but a throught has orrurred.
Correct Me If I am wrong, BUT aren't the Headlights on the fairmonts shorter in length than the ones on the GLi/Futuras?
I was tempted in getting one for the Ghia, but now I am not too sure.

When I get home tonight, I will measure the headlights on my Ghia, and compare them to the ones on my EF.

Headlights between the GLi-Futura and the Fairmont-Fairlane are different size. A Fairmont bonnet will not fit GLi and a GLi bonnet will have gaps around the lights and Bonnet. Also the bonnet latch is different between the two levels as well if my memory serves me right. So to use this bonnet on a Fairmont you would need to change headlights as well as Bonnet catch/ Radiator support.

I think he was making a modified version of the stock bonnet for Fairmonts, not just a grill, as that wouldn't work due to latch etc.

Yup I measured it. The GLi one is roughly 6 cm longer at the top, and 8 cm at the bottom.
