A very sad day is coming shortly where I'm going to have to sell my car in exchange for something more 'sedate'
My wife is too scared to drive it and for the most part I'm too scared to let her

I'm deciding if it's worthwhile to sell the car as is or return it somewhat to stock in order to get a bit more for it. I'd like to sell it whole and go to someone who can appreciate the work that's gone into it but at the end of the day I need the money to put towards something else so what ever works out best.

Anyway...

The engine is basically an It's Performance stage 5. It's got the stage 4 cam so it's a bit more nicely behaved but with all the 'extreme' headwork and porting from the stage 5.
A few people here have It's engines so I expect their reputation is fairly well known.

The stage 4 engines were going for $5000+ (the stage 5s for nearly 7k!)
It's been dyno'd at 175rwkw and 360 nm torque (dyno chart in my gallery)

It's done just over 20k in 2 years. I've taken it for a few trips to Qld but other than that I don't drive it much (as the milage reflects)
Around town I get around 15l/100ks (giving it a squirt pretty frequently  ) and as low as 8l/100ks on a trip!
The oil has been changed every 5 k (synthetic) and it runs only on PULP ( always run 98 ron but it'll also run on 95ron PULP)

I think that's about everything you'd wanna know :)

Anyone genuinely interested care to make an offer ?

Yeah turned out it was a crook exhaust valve spring!! The fact that it broke cruising along in city traffic is bizzare but after looking into others have reported then breaking for no apparent reason at low RPM.
It's getting replaced tomorrow, but obviously the buyer can take the car for a run first before removing the engine.

Unfortunately that little incident is more ammo for the wife to push for a 'normal car'

175RWKW on the Crescent Motorsports dyno isn't easy, very healthy result. Also worth noting that was made with a stock ECU. More power to be had with a good tune I would suspect!

Don't think so! He has a megasquirt but never got around to installing.

Nope, that's the factory futura manual ECU. Not even a tickford one!
As Waggin said I have a megasquirt but never got around to installing it. If the engine sells seperate to the car I'll throw in the megasquirt as well.

It's only an EOI at this stage, if I have trouble selling the car then I'll resort to pulling the engine out. The engine is a big selling point for the car though as a whole looks/performance package.

The other option is just to swap the head over, which is pretty much where all the power is coming from (if you've already got a strong bottom end)

If you're genuinely interested and have the cash sitting there ready to go then let me know what you're willing to pay and I'll keep it in mind as I get offers for the car.

As I said though, selling the whole car together is definitely preferable. I've only just advertised it here at the moment though.

Why not buy the whole car :P

ok so how much do you want for the engine would be the next question people would like to know.

Any probably all the engine specs for people not familiar with its motors

Didn't you get 143kw 369nm at the latest dyno day so it is less than the one in 2004.
