i just purchased this car recently, im not a great manual driver and my wife hates it :( i want to swap for similar in auto a ED, EF, EL and i could add a bit of money depending on what you have.

factory 5 speed manual
It has been lowered by a professional with pedders gear
pacemaker headers
k&n panel filter
3.45 dif
DVD head unit

Futura has front power windows both working.
presently it is unregd and almost RWC, it had an EPA suspension on it for being too noisy, this required a rear resonator and is now liberated from EPA.
paint is also sh!te in a number of places.
4 good tyres put on friday to pass RWC.
front slotted rotors, brand new slotted RDAs on back
may have other mods, possibly sway bar, i wouldnt know if i was looking at.

welcome to come and inspect and test drive i have a permit until 29/11 im putting it up for sale from now so someone sincere can get it cheap, once i fix it up and rego it, obviously i will require more for it.

a reasonable offer will be accepted, if you want to swap tell me what you have by pm and i will consider it if you want to swap plus you or i add some cash aswell.

update, i just looked under at the exhaust to see if the old EA tailpipe would go on and i discovered a sticker which said 3.45:1 ratio!!! how could i confirm this without pulling it apart?

as is right now $2500 ONO, today im fixing the tail pipe and getting a RWC quote from my mechanic, price will probably go up.

Whats it sit on at 100ks in fifth?
With a 3.08 it sits on 2k rpm @ 100kmh. 3.45 would be around 2300 I think.

i think i might keep this car and move it to my garage section.

for RWC i need to pull out the pioneer 6x9s on the parcel shelf and weld up the holes the previous owner cut! apparently the law requires this as of 6 months ago, one panel beater said hes had 3 or 4 guys asking him to do similar jobs in the last months, he advised me just cover it and hope they dont find it, not worth paying someone to do it as the beater will want to pull of the rear windscreen and the rest.

also needs rear rotors, brake master cylinder leaking, remove tint from fender flashers, adjust handbrake, and a few lights.

bumping it up, nearly everything required for RWC is done including:
brake master replaced, new slotted RDA rotors and pads on the back, a few lights, LHF inner guard, charcoal canister, wipers, adjusted handbrake.

i cant wait any longer to get this car on the road, i was supposed to get reg today but hadnt finished the roadworthy, stupid me left to much for the last minute.

i need a car to go to and from a course i started this week, i will take offers and i will consider swapping for anything driveable and registered except hatchbacks and kias, welcome to inspect tonight/tomorrow/sunday.

Mate - Why hasn't anyone offered to put a bloody auto in it and take your manual away? If you were in NZ I'd pay to get that done for you... As long as I kept all the manual bits and you could have all my auto bits. Simple. Cannot believe you Aussies sometimes....

I agree that's a good idea. Since you're going to buy the same car.

top idea, i think the clutch pedal is a bit bent at the box end, still works though, if anybody wants to trade their auto for my manual kit welcome, providing you do the swap/pay for it to be done, i know a reasonable mechanic in my area who next time im their ill ask, otherwise i don't mind traveling within reason if you are able to do the job.

update, power steering leak, ive identified it as the pressure switch fix it this week hopefully, any tips when doing this? it looks like a hard place to swing a spanner.

MATE - WHY is no one taking you up on this? Are you miles away from anywhere civilized or something? You should put it on EBAY ---

"FORD FALCON FUTURA FAIRMONT GHIA FAIRLANE LTD MANUAL CONVERSION to suit EA, EB, ED, EF.

I have a complete manual T5, clutch, pedal, pedal box, shifter - everything you need to convert your factory auto to manual.

Still in car - Read carefully - the price on this conversion kit is $6.66. It's a great deal. I bet you wont find better. You will have to remove the whole lot, or have it removed.

Since you have to put this box and kit into your car, you must give me your auto C4 suitable for my EF Futura 6 cylinder.

The whole lot will cost $6.66 ONLY if you arrange, entirely at your expense and / or time to install the automatic transmission into my car, with a written guarantee that if faulty within a specified timeframe (a month should do) you will be liable for replacement.

...."

Mate - If I was in Aussie, I'd bloody drive 1000km's to do that. I sold my previous two C4 auto's for $150 odd each, and I've paid $500 for a gearbox and another $300 or so for all the clutch and pedal bits. Basically you are giving someone $800 worth of bits for their time in making yours manual.
