Hey guys,

I have recently negotiated a group buy with a supplier in the US for some billet short shifters. I ran this on ff.com.au, but I was led to believe there was interest here too. These are a VERY similar design to the B&M Ripper shifter, and will work with EA-AU T5 transmissions, and BA MK1 T5's. They are manufactured by Steeda, a very well respected mustang tuning agent in the US, and have the following features:
- Made out of high quality billet aluminum,
- Features a high quality spring loaded centering mechanism, to assist in 2-3 shifts, and avoid mis-shifts.
- Adjustable Stop Bolts to Protection Transmission from over shifting
- No welds or casting, which can break over time

I have fitted one to my car already, and all I can say is it was an amazing improvement. I fitted the tri-ax handle to mine (see pic below) which although has a slight LHS bias, actually sits back in the factory position when mounted to the drivers side of the upright.

I will need a minimum order of 5 to get the group buy price of $215.
However if 10 or more are ordered, then the price drops to $200 even. This price is Australian $$ delivered to your door.

Please post your interest here, and when we have enough numbers, the order will be placed.

Cheers
Lee

Oh yeah sorry about that. The tri-ax handle is an extra $43.
So with 10 orders, it is $200 for the base, and $243 with the tri-ax handle.

If 10 or more are ordered, then the discount is better and its the $200 price. Between 5 and 10 is $215 as the discount isn't as good.

So the List of those interested are:
cooki_monsta
Walker
Rapier
Ebturb
dc_todd
kizzer

Please copy and paste the list, and put next to your name whether you want the shifter only, or shifter and handle.

Cheers

They don't come with an handle, you re-use your stock shifter handle.
The throw is shorter due to the higher pivot point compared to the stock item, and the 2-3 shift is far better due to the mechanism used in the short shifter.

To Clarify:
For $200 it is the short shifter base.
For $243 you will get the shifter base WITH the tri-ax handle,

which is shorter than the stock handle and sits further back.
This makes the shifter shorter again.

Finally, if the order is only for 5-9 shifters, each price goes up by $15,
ie. $215 & $258

just to confirm I want the handle only not the shifter as I already have a short throw shifter.

I will be interested in the base with the tri-ax. Will depend on when the group buy closes, as I am poor for a little while at the moment.

Thanks

As far as time goes, I was thinking of closing orders in approx 3 weeks, depending on when the general concensus is for when people want them. I think people need a bit of time to get $200+ together, therefore I think the cutoff for payment should be Friday 21st July

So the list as it stands:
cooki_monsta - Shifter With Tri-Ax Handle
Kilma - Shifter With Tri-Ax Handle
Walker -
Rapier -
Ebturb -
kizzer -

dc_todd - Tri-Ax handle (cannot count towards order of 10)
