Hi Guys,

Any suggestions on what/where to go for a 70mm throttle body to bolt up to the Cobra manifold ? Are there any 70mm OEM's available?

Cheers

Brad,

Try this;

You want EDL 3825.

Thanks Pete, looks good. How will that go supporting the EB/ED dual TPS setup? Can I use my factory IAC ?

70mm shouldnt be too big for the 347 setup should it? The cobra manifold has been opened up to 70mm..

You will need to add the auxilliary shaft/dual tps adaptor and long bolts from the original T/body. Factory ISC will bolt straight on.
That'll probably cost you about $350 landed.
I just got a Forged piston rebuild kit for my 351w from summit, cost me about $830 landed. It has pistons, rings, all bearings,full gasket set, core plug set, oil pump,assy lube,plastigage. It's all Felpro, TRW/sealed power stuff too! Got some Ford GT40 Y302 ally heads for $1300 landed too!

Depends on the rest of your engine? It may be too small and so may be the Cobra intake. What's you combo?

Just for info Brad, i run a 65mm AU on the RPM and have no problems, maintains good airspeed(felt by crispness of the throttle) but may have to look at going larger when the Terrorist Ghia project kicks off

I'll be in a similar boat to you Brett, just minus the NOS. The increased airspeed from the longer stroke will hopefully offset the slightly larger TB. I'd just prefer use a 70mm TB to match the TB opening of the manifold.

If the stock 4L's can use a 76mm and feel as responsive as they do, i'm thinking a 70mm on a 5.7L should deliver.

Pete,

So far its looking like a pair of spiced up GT40P's, cobra manifold, fresh 347 (forged scat kit), 11:1 comp, a big Airod converters and your mixer.

That reminds me.. I need to talk to you about that mixer! The converter is getting installed in the next week or 2, so we'll be running the gas system up on the 5.0 prior to the new engine going in.
