how many ks have the heads done,are the valve guides worn and going to suck oil,the oil seals ok or shot and the best-valve seats ok.are you going to strip them and check,lap valves and seats,replace oil seals and check spring pressures,so the heads are almost as new.weak springs the car wont rev----only 1,any more is a nightmare.skim the faces and crack test,do you plan to port or port match.dont forget as gogetter said ,labour and gaskets.plan it well as it may BITE. my heads have 305k on them,i plan to use new heads and reco the old ones,my mates workshop,to do them costs more than 400 and i have new valves to fit,cost 260-4 years ago,last of the run. do your maths,nuff said
