I've just dropped a EL XR8 motor in my XF, and i've come to filling the box up with some new oil.

Just wondering where to fill it? As i had a quick look and couldn't find a dipstick or anything? maybe i should look harder?

Also, the trranny had a oil cooler on it, which also attached to the radiator. Is it necessesary to have this hooked up or not?
Ive been told not to worry about the cooler as it so small anyway, and just atach lines to radiator.
Does this sound ok? or can i go without hooking up anything?

Cheers

the box will have a filler plug on the side of the box, unfortunately ford ditched the dipstick sometime in the EF's IIRC

DONT use DexIII, IIRC it's TQ95 you're looking for

its ok to only run the tranny cooler in the radiator, but it's a good idea to use an external one as well
