Sure you've got the right sampling tube in that MAF?? What measurement is the opening in the sampling tube? (the size of the hole at the flat end of the tube)

Have not measured sample tube but it has a blue marking on it which is correct (24lbs), do I need to increase fuel pressure??

The blue sample tube is #24 so that should be right. However, that Inj part number... it's not the FMS #24 injectors is it? What is it? What fuel pressure does it require? If it needs more than stock fuel pressure then that may explain your lack of fuel when you go open throttle.

That inj number : 0 280 155 903 are meant to be out of an AUII XR8, I got with my gt40p's and explorer inlet, when I checked that part number in the bosch book, it states that it is not a bosch injector??? They are long blue in colour and have ev6 style clips on them.

Well, find out what the stock fuel pressure is on your car and what the stock fuel pressure is on the AUII XR8. If the AUII XR8 has a higher fuel pressure then you may need to raise the fuel pressure on your own car's fuel rails to get those fuel injectors running properly at open throttle.

If it's a ford injector then should be ok as i think they run a consistent fuel pressure between the models... but there's part numbers which are similar, for example the saab turbo injectors... that are rated at different fuel pressures.

They are not AUII "XR8" injectors, they are just AU V8 injectors. They are all the same (with a few very early exceptions running 19lb orange injectors)

They run the std fuel pressure reg which is 39psi with the vacuum line removed.

I have heard of a few guys having problems with the C&L MAFs. What year/model mustang was the MAF made for....do you have a part number for it?

Sure its not a bad reg, bad pump, or blocked (fuel) filter?

Gunit18, larger injectors wont "make" more power unless your current injectors are too small.

i thought 19's & stock maf were too small once u changed heads/manifold/cam etc... i have FMS blue tops in the shed with a pro m maf that i aint used yet.. it says on the maf its calibrated to 24lbs injectors model 94-95 with a K & N filter bolted to it, got it from corral a while back. worth putting on?
sorry to hijack thread!

Hmmm.....just looked at your sig. In your case, i'd be suprised if you aren't close to running out of injector.

Are you making 186rwkw with the std 55mm MAF?

The 94-95 Mustangs where a little different to the 86-93 Mustangs (with respect to the EEC)...but that MAF should still work.

Plug it in along with the injectors. If you dont make anymore power, you will at the absolute least give yourself more headroom for further mods.

Be Warned...your Unichip will need to be completely retuned when you change the MAF/injectors.

Sourced the maf through BPT, it's suited for 86-93 mustang, BPT part no: 4009, sample tube: 4016. I have the original rail that the injectors came with (AU), is the pressure reg on the AU rail any different to my original EF one, will it run more pressure etc?? Car was running fine before change

If it is from an AUII XR8 then it will be the same as the one on your EL (the reg).

Have a chat with the guys at BPT...they know what they are doing, so they should be able to help you out.
