 Post subject: HO engine in EF Ghia?.

How can i tell if my EF Ghia has an HO motor or not?.Wouldn`t have a clue if they come out with them or not.

Ride: 1993 EB XR8

Location: BrisVegas
QLD, Australia

All EB-EL V8's are HO windsor's the EL2 XR8 has all HO parts except the inlet manifold. There is nothing good about them. Ditch the heads cam AND manifolds before anything else.

Forgot to mention that i took off the engine cover today for a bit of paint and on top
of the inlet under the cover it had a small HO casting on it,not sure if thats normal throughout
the 5.0 range or not.

and I will correct myself now, EB GT, ED XR8 Sprint & EL GT don't have HO Windsor's

185kw ELs also got the ELGT exhaust manifolds.

EL series 2 xr8s definitely got the ELGT extractors as i still have mine sitting in a cupboard here somewhere.
