You smash reverse whilst flying down the quarter mile, rev your engine to 6200rpm and also dump your clutch at the drags causing your T5 to fail and your worried about a dyno operator "thrashing" the crap out of it to tune it???
And you told someone earlier to get off the weed???? You never cease to amaze me.

I'm happy with what I've got, more torque then power increase but definitely alot better then before. I'm heading out for the test and tune on the 14th to Calder Park. No ifs or butts, 100mph is the goal.
Nice to get some positive feedback people. THANKYOU (sincere).

:?: :?

t2, I don't know what the dyno operators/tuners around you are like, nor do I know if you've had any experience with them. I can tell you from my experience that the dyno runs that my car has made is a hell of a lot less harsh than running it down the 1/4. For WOT tuning which would be what you're worried about, they run it in 4th gear from low road speed up until around 5900ish, where they know any further is not required.

I recall you mentioning somewhere about revving all the way til you hit the fuel-cut rev limiter, or something along those lines... At those revs, under that load, the last thing you want to be doing is cutting fuel. I dare say this would be more damaging to your motor by far than a few power runs on the dyno.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm not trying to change your mind on the matter, just trying to hit you with some helpful info.

The 14.4 was with single 2.5 inch exhaust, standard explorer upper manifold and bald tyres. Running 2.3 second 60 ft.
Going by my HEATHCOTE 14.4 (20 degrees), a 14.1 at CALDER PARK hypothetically speaking should be a breeze. Knowing my luck it never is lol.

The word hypothetically and the dragstrip dont go well together, how long is a piece of string?
