Hey,

I have a 1994 v8 fairmont ghia ED, i recently have had issues with my gear box and it needs to be replaced. Last month i purchased a whole EF fairmont ghia for the interior so i can upgrade my ed. I was wondering if i was able to take the transmission from the EF 6cyl and put it into my ED 8cyl? if so what are the difficulties? what would need to be done? Also are there different gear ratios?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Nathan.

Nope, a V8 auto will not fit a 6 or the other way round.
