My au auto has been whining in first since I've had it for about 4 years, box was reco'ed prior to that and my mechanic told me its the planetary gear, common affliction but harmless.

another thread mine, my bf 4 spd has a whine or groaning sound in first gear if I take off from standing still straight to WOT. But its the smoothest changing btr ive ever experienced, so im guessing I have nothing to worry about.

mine is fairly noisy in first.
only happend since my gearbox overheated before i stuck a trans cooler on it.  o well.. now just wait till it dies and stick in another box i suppose

havent checked for a cooler on mine yet, they arent too costly so after christmas ill give it a flush and a cooler if it doesnt have one, what size do you run and where is it mounted?

i think it was a XL one.
mounted on the front of the air con condensor and completely bypasses the radiator. no milkshake for me

with my kit it had 4 zip clip things like zip ties but straight.
they just push thru the radiator fins and have a big washer style holder on the other side. seem to work ok but only issue i see is if i need to take the radiator or anything off ill need to find more of these clips.
