Hey, normally i'd search for something as common as this but it won't let me..

Just need to know for 100% certain if i can use a v8 BTR out of a DC LTD in an EF i6?

LTD box was rebuilt at a cost of $2500 so i'd like to keep it as a spare incase my EF ever has a problem.

Apart from the bellhousing & convertor being different - The V8 BTR is longer than the 6cyl version(The extension housing & output shaft is longer in the V8 BTR's)

It will fit if you use a 6cyl bellhousing & convertor, but then you will have to get your tailshaft shortened to suit.

I'd say if you sold it, you would get pretty good money for it - They are becoming popular with the "Hot rod" boys.
