Hi I have an EL Falcon 98, automatic transmission, and lately the car seems to be slipping out of gear of something, im not too sure. Everytime i accelerate after stopping it would roll forward, but then the car will only rev even if i push down on the accelerator, then after it would kick into gear.

I had the transmission flushed and it still does it.

Does anyone know the problem and/or how to fix it??

Thanx very much

Bob :?

Maybe it might need the bands tightened.

I got a similar problem with my EF Fairmont. Not to sure if its the same problem tho.

Seems to happen when i slow down (eg. before getting to an intersection) and then when i go to accelerate again the gear kinda slips, the revs go up a bit and then the gear will kick in. Doesnt happen all the time tho.

Will get the auto serviced and checked soon and see if it fixes it. Ill post back if it gets fixed and see if it could be any help to ya

First I'd say check the oil, then if it's full get it flushed out, then if it's still happening try getting the bands tightened. If it's still happening after doing all of that I'd say that you might have to start pulling it apart and check all the seals and the shift valves and go from there.
