what did u do 2 get an AU offset on the rear?
and did you have 35mm hub adaptors before the upgrade? as i have 19in AU offset wheels and needed 35mm hub adaptors.

I thibk its something in between as i have AU onwards wheels and needed 35mm hub adaptors and spoke to Tony at UPC and asked if he could machine me up a kit which make the hub go out an extra 35mm and he said it's not a problem.

Hmmmm... Kinda weird though that for everyone else the kits he sells he says is not AU onwards offset and that he's developing one that is, yet you say he supplied you with AU onwards offset kit. One of you is confused.

dude this sentence is confusing see my pics and they are seperate hubs just like au with floating discs and i measured up the offset to suit the au irs in the back off my car so i would guess the rear offset and the front offset would have to match??? no?

The Kit tony @ UPC comes out an additional 20mm but to fit aftermarket AU onwards mag wheels like mine you need a 35mm hub adaptor. My wheels sit perfectly inline with the front guards and went to an engineerer to check the offset and it has not been altered as the wheels come in enough.
Ill take some pictures of my car so you can see what i mean and compare

What my sentince is saying is that when I've e-mailed the UPC guy he's told me that the kits don't give AU offset and that he is developing one that does. By the way - do you know what model Mustang the front rotors are oof? Or what the caliper is off? |

I e-mailed Tony (MR-Spares/UPC-Ultra Perofrmance Components competitionengineering@optusnet.com.au) and he has again informed me that his kit adds 20mm to the E-series offset. As far as I know it needs to be 35mm added in order to be AU-onwards offset.
So I dunno, but it would be strange if the guy actually selling/making the kit couldn't tell the correct offset it is... Quote: The offset is 20 mm wider per side, the pads are current VE and are $55 a set.

Just be careful, I know a bloke who paid this Tony dude over $10,000 to do up his engine, brakes etc on a Holden and the engine blew up on first start and he lost over $10k and has nothing to show for over a years stuffing around with that project. Mr Spares is bad news!! Trust Me!!!

Problem with the 20mm offset that the UPC kit leaves you with is that you can't get hub adapters to give you AU-onwards offset.
According to wheel_inc (http://myworld.ebay.com.au/wheel_inc/) 20mm is the thinnest the hub adapters can be made. So that would leave 40mm offset on the front and obvously you'd need to have 40mm hub adapters made for the rear, resulting in the wheels poking out further than they should and possible guard rubbing issues. |

im also in the market for a brake upgrade but the thing that puts me off this kit is mr spares states the ofset is out by 20mm but says both e series and au/ba ofset wheels will be fine. now if im going to pay this bloke almost 2grand i want definate answers not yeah they will both be fine. thoes calipers look like vt comodore front calipers.

There VE Crapadore calipers.
Both Pre-AU and Post-AU wheels will fit. But Pre-AU wheels will thens tick out 20mm to far at the front and look weird as well as probably scrub the guards, and post-AU wheels will probably be fine, 20mm probably means they'll clear the suspension inside, but they'll be inwards about 10mm, maybe not enough to notice and look wierd though... |
