My slotted rotors have been machined 3 times and the slots still look new. Have also done sereval track days with Bendix Ultimates and they are wearing fine.

How my Kms have you done on those discs?

How is that?? Because everytime I go to do get Brakes changed and want to get the discs Machined etc a few reputable places that I have been to say they cant actually Machine Slotted discs. Because the slots will catch etc etc. :?

As far as I know any decent brake place should be able to machine slotted or slotted / cros drilled rotors, the place I go to charge an extra $5 per disc to machine slotted rotors.

I have run about 5 sets of Bendix Ultimates on the same set of X-Drilled/Slotted rotors over the last 2 years. The slots are still like new, and there are no cracks. I don't know what you people are doing to ur brakes! Almost every time the waggin is out it gets an absolute thrashing!

I agree they're a bit dusty, but nothing excessive. I'm running ultimates in the sprint, and compared with the el cheapo brand that the mechanic put in last service in the fairmont, they make LESS dust for about 10 times better feel and bite.
Can't comment on wear cause I haven't had it long enough yet.
